Bio

How did your passion for traveling get started?

Our fire started back in 2000. We spent the majority of our time focusing and working on our careers and had to work at the film industry in Toronto, Canada. We understood that we did not have any hobbies or interests out our job and discovered that we had been at a small funk. We had been at that point and barely saw each other. We had lives working hours and schedules.

How many days/weeks are you traveling in any given calendar year? What are the kinds of places?

It ended up being. We spent travelling around the country, reconnecting and getting to know each other again. We tried a whole lot of adventures like mountaineering, rock climbing and sea kayaking. Before this trip, we did not do many adventures. But when we came home, we kept the adventure going and linked a climbing gym, learned to scuba dive and began mountain biking.

What is it that you want viewers to gain/ learn from photography and your articles?

After that, we made certain to journey someplace different. And we made certain to undertake a new adventure that we never dreamed of doing. After splitting our time between labor and traveling for 7 decades, we took the plunge and decided to look into ways to make travel a complete time career. And that’s when ThePlanetD was born.

Name your top 3 destinations you have traveled?

We are essentially on the street full time. We do not have a house and when we are back in Canada we remain with our family.  This past year we understood that we travelled to 22 nations on five continents. We actually love to see areas that we have not been to yet. And have an adventure and our favorite thing is to get out. The trail. But we do adore travelling anywhere. It’s not like we go to distant destinations, a number of our favorite places to see are well-trodden cities like Paris and New York.

Give us your’Top 5′ list for one of these destinations, like a mini-guide or Even to-do list of sorts

We aim to inspire people attempt something fresh. We would like people to step from their comfort zone and then flip their journeys. It does not need to be as challenging as climbing into Everest Base Camp or biking the continent of Africa, but merely to try out something new. Take baby steps. We had been eager walking through a jungle for the first time and visiting with our first authentic industry. It’s about making your journeys a yearlong experience in which you learn about your destination, get outside in nature and dip in the local culture.
In addition, we like to talk about our favorite things and insider information . We want to inspire individuals take the fear out of traveling and to go to new areas. You can too, if we could do it!

South Africa

Your favorite traveling movie?

There’s so much to do them at all, however because I think many people don’t realize how much there is to do there, I’m likely to choose Antarctica.

City using the most friendly people?

Thai, Japanese, Mexican

Your favorite?

Bearfoot Bistro in Whistler Canada.

The food is excellent, but it is also an event. Start using apres ski candy and oysters before going into the world’s coldest vodka tasting ice room, then head downstairs to check out the wine cellar that is enormous. Request to sabre a bottle of bubbly and enjoy a six course tasting menu. Heavenly.

Finest way you kill time?

One Week with Joshua Jackson of Dawson’s Creek fame.

This is a bicycle road trip across Canada. I love seeing Canada in films.

What’s the most exotic place you have been taken by your livelihood?

We mainly spend time at the lounges. We travel so much I do not bother researching airports much. Since I Really like the Airlines Lounges, so I am going with Istanbul.

Your piece of traveling suggestions for somebody who’s about to embark on a lifetime of traveling?

Ireland, dublin.

I find everyone in Ireland friendly.

What are 4 things you may never travel without?

Dave of course!

What’s your ultimate dream destination?

We see TV shows. So that I could catch up on the TV series I really anticipate long flights.

Your favorite traveling quote?

I’m likely to go with Western Mongolia.  Driving Mongolia from the Mongol Rally brought us into the country’s most distant regions. Few tourists make it all there. Since we had been driving ourselves, we got to go to areas that nobody gets to go. There have been literally no roads. We followed dirt paths along with a compass. We camped in areas and we interacted with nomads. It was unbelievable.

Where to next?

Save enough money. It’s likely to take time, if you want to earn a living in your traveling. It won’t occur overnight, so make certain you have enough cash to secure you you are constructing your organization. Travel to destinations where you are able to stretch your buck like Central America or South East Asia.
